About
OUE Research leads research, assessment, and evaluation efforts in furtherance of OUE’s mission to cultivate transformative educational experiences for all undergraduates. We take a holistic view of undergraduate student success, focusing not only on learning and academic performance but also the broader socioemotional and institutional context in which students are living, learning, and developing, as well as structural forces that impact students’ lives. Within this holistic approach, our research focuses on three domains that are foundational to student success: (1) relationships and social connection, (2) academic motivation and engagement, and (3) emotional well-being and mental health.
We work collaboratively with institutional research and assessment colleagues across campus to leverage data and research evidence to inform campus decision-making in support of student success. This work includes unit-led research initiatives, integration and analysis of administrative data, and consultation and support for colleagues interested in undertaking research, assessment, or evaluation projects in support of students.
