Student Advisory Board Member
Raahim Hashmi is a sophomore at Duke University majoring in Public Policy and Asian & Middle Eastern Studies. Originally from Piscataway, New Jersey, he brings his background and experience in policy work within the Muslim community to his academic focus, with a passion for exploring the intersections of governance, identity, and social impact. At Duke, Raahim serves on the Student Advisory Board and as the Associate Vice President of Services and Sustainability for Duke Student Government, where he works to advance initiatives that improve student life and promote sustainable practices on campus.
Outside of academics and leadership, Raahim enjoys cooking and baking, often experimenting with new recipes, and finds balance through long walks that allow him to recharge and reflect.
