Assistant Director, Global Education Office
Mariah developed a love for travel while studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain, during her sophomore year. She credits that experience and living in Spain after undergrad as pivotal experiences in her personal development. They taught her to value the differences across cultures and be open to new experiences and perspectives. Now, Mariah is passionate about helping students find and participate in an international experience and is excited to work with Duke students to make these experiences possible for them.
Mariah holds a B.A. in Psychology and Romance Languages - Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from NC State University. She taught in secondary education for 9 years before transitioning to higher education and has assisted students studying away at NC State University and Virginia Tech.
