Student Advisory Board
Harbor Gao is a member of the Student Advisory Board for the Office of Undergraduate Education at Duke and a member of the Class of 2028. Harbor’s favorite part of serving on the Board is the opportunity to share student perspectives and contribute creative ideas that enrich the undergraduate experience at Duke.
Originally from China, Harbor brings a global outlook shaped by experiences in both the sciences and the humanities. He is actively engaged in biomedical research while also pursuing interests in cultural anthropology and literature, reflecting a passion for connecting scientific exploration with humanistic understanding.
In his free time, Harbor enjoys blending artistic and active pursuits. He plays trombone with an orchestral background and is also an avid enthusiast of tennis, badminton, and swimming. Harbor finds balance in the visual arts through painting, which provides space for reflection and creative expression outside of academics.
