Hakeem Shitta-Bey serves on the Student Advisory Board for OUE and is graduating in 2026. Originally from Houston, Texas, he is studying Biomedical Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering (AI/ML concentration) with a certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. His favorite aspect of Duke is the collaborative spirit on campus, where students support one another in learning and growing. This has shaped his commitment to helping people learn effectively and develop skills that allow them to create meaningful change in the world. In his free time, Hakeem enjoys working on side projects in app, web development, and AI. He also loves working out, cooking, playing video games, and watching science fiction movies and TV shows.
