Ella Kirksey is a senior at Duke University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Chemistry. With years of experience in research, emergency medical services, and patient advocacy, she has worked across multiple clinical and laboratory settings, including behavioral neuroscience and brain stimulation research. Her expertise spans neuroplasticity, immunology, and emergency medicine, with a strong focus on translational applications in neurosurgery and critical care.
Ella has contributed to published research, served as a research assistant in various labs, and engaged in advocacy through organizations like Project HEAL and the Eating Disorders Coalition. She is also an EMT with a deep interest in prehospital care and surgical innovation. Beyond academics and medicine, she enjoys writing poetry, graphic design, crocheting, and exploring intersections between law and healthcare policy.
