Director of Global Health & Safety, Office of Global Health and Safety
Anna Hayes (she/her/hers) joined OUE’s Division of Experiential Education as the Director of Global Health and Safety in the Office of Global Health and Safety (OGHS) in 2022. Anna previously served as the associate director of global programs at Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC, where she was the lead operations officer for faculty-led and exchange programs. Prior to UNC, Anna was assistant director in NC State's Study Abroad Office, where she oversaw risk assessment strategy, the development of health and safety resources, and pre-departure health and safety trainings for both global program students and program leaders. Anna holds degrees from UNC-Greensboro and NC State and expects to earn her PhD in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development from NC State in 2023. Anna is an active leader, trainer, and mentor in the field of international education.
Anna and her husband Adam live in Raleigh with their four cats and four chickens. She enjoys spending time with her five siblings, reading and watching movies, traveling, and taking long afternoon naps.
