Senior Program Coordinator, DukeLIFE


Born in the Philippines and raised in Los Angeles, Alyanna Maria Saylor draws from her lived experience as a first-generation, low-income (FGLI) immigrant to guide her dedication to educational equity and student empowerment. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology & Society from UCLA, where she developed a deep appreciation for the intersection of science and the humanities. As Senior Program Coordinator for DukeLIFE, Alyanna advocates for underrepresented students, fostering holistic academic success and cultivating opportunities for meaningful learning and personal growth.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Alyanna enjoys the outdoors, including surfing, hiking, rock climbing, biking, and exploring mountains and coastlines with her husband.
