Duke Students participate in ACC conference
While our Blue Devil basketball teams fought it out in the tournament this March, Duke student researchers participated in the 19th annual ACC Meeting of the Minds conference. This three-day event hosts student representatives from each of the 18 ACC institutions, and this year it was held at the University of Pittsburgh.
Duke was represented by:
- Camila Jimenez (Trinity, Psychology and Biology Minor, 2027)
- Leah Kim (Trinity, Undeclared, 2027)
- Kaylee Ruth (Trinity, Chemistry and Math Minor, 2026)
- Sophia Shen (Trinitym Biology, Classical Archaeology Minor, Computational Biology & Bioinformatics Minor, 2027)
- Lauren Valle (Trinity, Biology and Documentary Studies Certificate, 2025)
The Duke group delivered presentations and networked with researchers from other schools. While in Pittsburgh, they were also able to visit local sites like the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium and the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History.
The 2025 Duke student researchers were selected from a competitive pool of applicants. The Office of Undergraduate Education coordinated Duke's participation in this year's Meeting of the Minds conference in partnership with the Undergraduate Research Support Office.
