Oceans, Human and Environmental Health
Examining human and environmental health concerns in conjunction with environmental water quality and disease transmission, this course studies the ecosystem services provided by marine environments that are valuable to both human and environmental health. This course will study, for example, the value of coral reefs as sites for tourism, fishing, storm protection, and critical habitat for marine organisms, as well as their sensitivity to human impacts.
