Student Advisory Board Member
Zander Pitrus is a junior at Duke University studying Political Science with a concentration in Law and Political Theory. He is a first-generation student from San Diego, California. With a household of immigrants, he invariably valued the role of education and its power to transform adversity into success. He is passionate about refining and upholding those very institutions to advance equal opportunities for every individual.
At Duke, Zander is currently working on his honors thesis focusing on constitutional interpretation. He is the Chief Justice of Duke Student Government Judiciary, a Student Conduct Board Member, the founder and co-editor-in-chief of the Duke Undergraduate Law Review, and a vehement advocate for civil discourse both in and out the classroom.
Zander hopes to continue improving Duke University and its supplementary institutions to make it a more potent global leader.
