Research Scientist
- I grew up outside of Chicago, attended the University of Notre Dame where I was a psychology major, and then moved to Durham to join the Duke Center for Child and Family Policy as a research assistant for my first job out of college.
- About a dozen years later, after gaining lots of research experience and attending graduate school at Duke, I came full circle as a Research Scientist at the Center for Child and Family Policy!
- My research interests include adolescent social development, adolescent risk behaviors, child maltreatment prevention, and parental incarceration.
- I also have three children (the third was born while I was in grad school), so I am also happy to talk about work/life balance and how things don't always go exactly according to plan in our professional and personal paths.
