Learning Consultant, Academic Resource Center

Isaac has a Ph.D. in physics from UNC. His dissertation was in two parts: Cosmology (focusing on dark matter in the early universe), and, separately, gravitational physics (the mathematical description of the gravitational force according to Albert Einstein's theory of General Relativity). While at UNC, he worked at The Learning Center as an academic coach, served as lead instructor, and TA, for several UNC physics courses, and has many years of teaching and tutoring experience in physics and mathematics. Isaac also served as an adjunct lecturer in physics at The City College of New York while completing his M.Sc. in physics. Here at the ARC, Isaac serves as the STEM specialist, developing strategies specifically applicable to STEM course. He can guide students to develop effective learning behaviors and connect them with resources that can help them make informed choices about their academics. Isaac is an aspiring dog dad who, in his free time, likes to cook, play basketball, exercise, and make cringeworthy puns. His many life goals include forming a secret scientific society, which shall be called *the Order of Magnitude*.
