Experiential Programs Manager, Experiential Education

Hayley Broadhead is the Experiential Programs Manager for the Division of Experiential Education. She advises staff and faculty on best practices for experiential learning within the Global Education Office and supports internships, research, service-learning, and project-based learning for study away. She values collaboration and seeks partnerships between the Division of Experiential Education and other practitioners within the Duke community.

Before joining Duke’s Division of Experiential Education in 2017, Hayley worked at the Duke University Karsh Office of Financial Support and previously was a K-12 public school teacher. Having worked in the field of education for over 17 years she has observed the marked educational gains students make through experiential learning and seeks to build pathways that support equal access to opportunities.

Hayley has an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University and a B.A. in English Teaching from Brigham Young University. She is an avid reader and enjoys learning more about the world through books. Frequently you will find her playing tabletop games with friends and family, absorbed in listening to music, and spending time outdoors as much as possible.
