Graduate Assistant for Peer Education

Austin Maduka is an assistant for the ARC Peer Education program and a graduate student in the Duke Biology Department, pursuing his PhD in Genetics & Genomics, as well as his MD. Austin received a BS in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at UMBC, before arriving at Duke in 2017. He was born in Washington, DC, and grew up right outside the city in Prince George's County, MD. Outside of the lab and ARC, he enjoys discovering new music/attending live shows, cooking, and going to the gym.
