I work in the area of low-dimensional topology, which aims to classify the shapes of knots, surfaces, and three- and four-dimensional spaces.

This summer, I worked with one of my undergraduate advisees (who graduated this year) on turning the results from his senior thesis into a publishable paper.

I have given lectures on a variety of topics in "Jewish Geometry" - mathematical questions that come up in rabbinic literature, such as the approximation of pi in the Bible and Talmud - including one at Duke Hillel just before the start of the pandemic.
