Faculty-in-Residence

The Faculty-in-Residence Program houses professors in first-year residence halls to encourage interaction between faculty members and undergraduLogoate students beyond the classroom or lab.

Purpose:

This program, in which faculty live in apartments in the residence halls, affords a broad range of opportunities for informal and structured interaction and permits participating faculty to draw freely on their avocational and professional interests as they seek common ground with students in the residential setting.

Goal:

To foster faculty and student interaction outside of the classroom setting by enhancing the intellectual life of the residence halls through programming.

Meet the current Faculty in Residence!

We have ten Faculty in Residence (FiR) who reside on East Campus. Each residence hall has one or more FiRs assigned to it for the academic year.
